MATERIALS & MATTER

Materials and manufacturing innovation are at the centre of good design. These pages are an inquisitive look at our material surroundings. They are intended to spark ideas, challenge preconceptions and encourage curiosity-driven design.

The objects and artifacts include observations and findings from my spare time and draw on personal material and published research. I'm particularly interested in the relationship between the material world and our changing lifestyles and how this affects the adoption of future materials and ideas. My books explore the technologies that will continue to play a significant role and are intended to help designers get smart quick about the many opportunities of modern materials.
